del Club del Residencial Ernesto Ramos Antonini en San Juan

Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), Ingrid I. Rivera Rocafort, and President of the Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico (BGCPR), Eduardo Morales, announced a partnership agreement between both entities. The goal of this partnership is to provide students and tourism industry leaders the necessary tools to facilitate this educational program which aims to strengthen Puerto Rico’s tourism scene.

“Since I joined PRTC, I understood the importance of establishing partnerships with educational institutions and nonprofit organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. These partnerships promote the value of education and strengthen the Island’s tourism industry which contributes to Puerto Rico’s economy,” said Rivera Rocafort. “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Ramos Antonini Residential in San Juan because they will be given the opportunity to learn and become industry leaders.”

Through this collaboration PRTC and BGCPR will join efforts to develop, implement and design educational projects which aim to spark interest among its participants for Puerto Rico’s tourism industry. The integration and participation of parents will also be encouraged. PRTC will serve as a liaison between the tourism industry and academia, while BGCPR will provide support and necessary resources to complete the goals of the agreement. “For the Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico, this partnership represents an opportunity for its participants, employees and community members to develop transferrable skills in the tourism industry. Being able to interact with industry leaders provides our members the opportunity to start thinking about building their own careers,” said Morales.
